Work as a Research Nurse within Primary Care Sheffield’s Research Office, based across Kenwood Park Road (S7 1NF) and Darnall Primary Care Centre (S9 4QH), delivering academic and commercial trials in NHS primary care across Sheffield. This part‑time permanent role (18 hours per week) is Band E (£38,628.97–£42,959.12 pro rata; £18,541.90 pa for 18 hours) and centres on screening, recruitment, informed consent, clinical monitoring and data collection, plus maintaining study documentation and databases. You’ll liaise with study teams, GPs, NIHR CRN and patients and carers, undertake clinical procedures where required (bloods, swabs, injections, occasional home visits), and ensure ethical and regulatory compliance while working both independently and as part of a supportive research team.
This post is ideal for a first‑level registered nurse with experience in research (preferably in primary care), GCP training, strong IT skills and confidence communicating with patients, families and professional colleagues; phlebotomy and spirometry skills are desirable.
