Job description
Residential Child Care Worker with Dove Adolescent Services in Doncaster (full-time, permanent, 39 hours per week). Salary for unqualified applicants starts at £25,755.60 (rising to around £31,155.60 with sleep‑in shifts) and for qualified candidates (Level 3 diploma or equivalent) starts at £26,303.16 (rising to around £31,703.16 with sleep‑ins). You will deliver flexible, individual residential care packages, safeguarding and protecting young people, building trusting relationships, encouraging personal interests and taking part in activities that help children feel at home — from local walks to cinema trips and days out. The role includes sleep‑in duties (paid at £45 per shift, average 8–10 a month), some weekends and bank holidays, working on your own initiative as well as within a supportive team, and an enhanced DBS check is required for successful applicants.
