Support children and young people in a warm residential home in Cannock with Brook Street, on a temporary full‑time basis. You’ll deliver compassionate, hands‑on care — assisting with personal care, daily routines, activities and behavioural support — while helping to implement individual care plans and maintaining safeguarding and health & safety standards. The role involves a flexible shift pattern (commonly 2 days on, 4 days off, with occasional additional shifts to total a 40‑hour week), regular team meetings and internal training, and requires experience with children and young people, excellent communication, strong organisational skills, a full UK driving licence, and DBS and reference checks. Candidates should hold or be willing to work towards QCF Level 3 / Residential Childcare qualifications and be comfortable working as part of a close, resilient team.

This role offers a supportive environment with realistic career progression: salary around £26,520 per annum (£12.75/hr), a £65 sleep‑in flat rate, 33 days’ annual leave plus your birthday off, and ongoing training to grow your skills. The position is ideal for carers — particularly women seeking a nurturing workplace and flexible hours that fit family life — who want meaningful work and professional development in children’s services.
