We are looking for experienced Security Officers to join our Team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust based in Southampton
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for internal/external patrolling CCTV monitoring, locking and unlocking of various sites and dealing with security related incidents as they arise An SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential.
We need you to be a motivated and organised professional with the ability to communicate with staff patients and visitors to the sites You should be confident using a computer as your role will include analysing data monitoring systems and reporting incidents through the Trusts internal reporting system.
This is a full time position working 12 hr shifts an average of 37.5 hours per week (includes evenings and weekends with unsocial payment enhancements)

To provide onsite security service 24/7
To carry out internal and external patrols of all buildings site grounds and any other premises as may be required using the designated patrol system
Maintain detailed knowledge of all individual alarm systems in place throughout the Trust
To deal efficiently with traffic management and car park problems
To assist with portering duties when required
First point of contact in the event of a fire alarm being activated
Ensure all security incidents are managed effectively efficiently and the necessary support is given to clinical staff and the public
First point of contact in relation to lift breakdowns Ensuring effective release with minimum risk to trapped staff public and patients from lifts on a 24-hour basis with the assistance of lift engineers
To be vigilant in keeping clear the main access roads through the hospital grounds and the main entrance areas to buildings To report on any suspicious circumstances and help with incidents relating to vehicles
Monitor day to day CCTV footage in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2
To ensure coning and cordoning off designated areas or parking bays
To carry out a physical search of patients staff and visitors when required Police to be contacted to assist if necessary
Manage incidences involving individuals that manifest aggressive or violent behaviour whether due to drink drug clinical psychiatric reasons or other
