The mental health team at St. Joseph's Approved Premises are looking to recruit a Senior Assistant Psychologist to work with its client group of residents recently released from Prison.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to service development in line with a national pilot, providing trauma-informed interventions to residents whose needs reflect their complex life histories.

Alongside providing evidence-based interventions to the residents, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to training packages to support colleagues from Probation services in their own work with them.

We are seeking a full-time Band 5 Assistant psychologist to work with the existing nurse-led team within St. Joseph's Approved Premises.

The post holder would be expected to be a key member of the team and will support the psychological assessment of residents and the formulation of their needs, developing interventions in line with these.

The Senior Assistant psychologist will also provide direct psychological intervention and group work support at the Stepped 2 care of provision.
