As a Senior Care Assistant in York with HC‑One (listed via NHS Jobs) you'll plan and deliver personalised care across dementia, nursing, residential and specialist services, where kindness underpins every shift. This permanent, full‑time role pays £14.75–£15.35 per hour and involves leading a team of Care Assistants, supporting Registered Nurses and the Care Manager, administering medication, providing physical and emotional support including end‑of‑life care, running social and recreational activities, and keeping clear, accurate records. The post is ideal for experienced carers or natural leaders who hold a Level 2 S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent) and are happy to work towards Level 3 — above all we’re looking for someone with positive energy, strong time‑management and a genuinely considerate approach to residents and families.
