The team made up of respiratory nurses, physiotherapists and healthcare assistants We are seeking a motivated, caring and dynamic Senior Support worker to work as a key member of our team supporting patients the Home Oxygen Service (HO-SAR). The Respiratory team is continuing to develop with expanding the services that we provide in order to improve patient care with the use of oxygen. The post holder's role will be diverse and centred within the respiratory service. Please note you must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2This role involves seeing complex respiratory patients in a range of settings including various community sites and patients homes in addition to community clinics. The post holder will autonomously manage their own caseload of patients performing capillary blood gases, fire risk assessments as well as provide support and cover for the other clinicians within the team. Structured clinical supervision is provided by one of the local Respiratory Consultants and support is provided internally through team meetings, shared learning and reflective practise. You will receive regular 1:1 meetings with the team lead to support you in your role. You will therefore need to be a flexible and adaptable team member with excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
