Make a measurable difference to patient services as a Senior Data Science Analyst at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (Royal Derby Hospital, DE22 3NE). You will join the Trust’s Data Science function to lead analytics work across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive levels, applying big data, AI and machine‑learning to complex acute‑care challenges. Day‑to‑day duties include building statistical models and algorithms, extracting and preparing structured and unstructured data, coding in SQL/R/Python (or similar), owning analytical projects end‑to‑end, presenting insights to clinical and corporate stakeholders, and taking line management responsibility for a designated team. This permanent, full‑time Band 6 role (£38,682–£46,580 pro rata) requires strong project management, governance awareness and a DBS check; applications close 16 October 2025 with interviews on 30 October 2025.
