Take ownership of the performance, security and resilience of the Northern Care Alliance’s database estate, leading the design, deployment and maintenance of servers, storage and associated infrastructure across Salford and partner sites. You’ll diagnose and resolve complex incidents in high‑pressure settings, work across multi‑vendor environments (SQL Server, Microsoft server stack, VMware and standard network architectures), and implement security controls such as access management, encryption and monitoring to meet NHS standards. This senior position suits an experienced DBA with degree‑level (or equivalent) knowledge, high‑level SQL Server expertise, a track record of strategic delivery and the ability to coach and mentor technical colleagues while presenting to stakeholders.
