As a Senior Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner with ABL Health Ltd in Swindon (SN2), you will deliver urgent and planned emotional support to children and young people (CYP) across the iTHRIVE model. The role combines frontline crisis work in the Haven evening service — conducting rapid assessments, safety planning, de‑escalation and liaison with Police, Ambulance, Emergency Departments and CAMHS — with daytime therapeutic work in community and educational hubs. You will provide individual and group interventions, develop bespoke care plans, support families and schools, maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to safeguarding and follow‑up pathways. The post requires flexible shift working including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, and sits within a CQC‑registered, community health provider environment.

This role suits experienced practitioners with strong urgent intervention, risk assessment and de‑escalation skills, and experience working in multi‑disciplinary settings with emergency services. You will also take on leadership duties — line managing a small team, coordinating rotas, supporting recruitment and contributing to service development — while accessing ongoing training and professional development. Permanent, full‑time, flexible working; salary £28,000–£32,000 a year. ABL is an equal opportunities, smoke‑free employer committed to high standards of care and staff support.
