This permanent, full‑time Band 3 role (37.5 hours per week) supports the Acute Oncology and new PICC line services, helping the nursing team with both clinical and administrative duties across day‑case and outpatient settings. You will deliver compassionate, patient‑centred care under supervision—monitoring observations, performing venepuncture/phlebotomy (training provided), escalating acute symptoms, supporting documentation and appointment coordination, and helping maintain clinic equipment and stock. The role includes reception and patient‑facing duties, signposting families, acting as a chaperone when needed, and contributing to audit and service improvement activities. Disclosure and Barring Service checks may be required.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary, university‑affiliated teaching hospital rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, with recent investment such as a state‑of‑the‑art Radiotherapy Centre and ongoing expansion, and access to in‑service training and supervised skill development. Salary sits at approximately £24,937–£26,598 per annum; candidates with a disability meeting the minimum criteria will be guaranteed an interview.
