Senior Healthcare Support Worker at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Scarborough Hospital (YO12). You’ll be part of the East Coast Day Surgery Team, supporting elective day surgery on Haldane and Lloyd wards, preoperative assessment and a growing programme of benign non‑surgical urological treatments across Scarborough and Bridlington. This permanent, full‑time Band 3 post (salary £24,937–£26,598) offers a family‑friendly Monday–Friday daytime rota with optional paid weekend waiting‑list shifts. Core duties include undertaking Band 3 tasks such as phlebotomy, 12‑lead ECGs and patient observations, providing calm, compassionate care, and offering flexible cover across clinical areas as service needs change. An enhanced DBS check is required; interviews will be held in person only.
This role will particularly suit experienced carers and women seeking a steady role with clear progression — you either have a Level 3 vocational qualification in health/social care or are willing to complete it through the Trust. You should be comfortable working independently, communicating well, using basic IT and remaining organised under pressure.
