Location: County Hall, Cardiff Directorate Contract Duration: 10 November 2025 – 9 February 2026 Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00) Pay Rate: PAYE: £16.62 per hour Umbrella/Ltd: £21.60 per hour Cardiff Council is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join the ARC Regional Service team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people and families across the region through crisis intervention, outreach, respite, and structured family support. Key Responsibilities: Deliver flexible, responsive care packages in homes, communities, and centres Provide evidence-based interventions to build resilience and problem-solving skills Support families in crisis to prevent breakdown and escalation Work collaboratively within a skilled team to achieve positive outcomes ✅ About You: Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent (e.g., teaching, nursing, youth work) Experience working with adolescents and families in times of need Proven supervisory or mentoring experience Creative, flexible, and strengths-based approach to support Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required Additional Information: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
