Creative Support are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individual to join us as a Senior Support Worker and lead a number of passionate and friendly teams of staff across a number of our Mental Health Supported Living Services within Liverpool. As Senior Support Worker, you will work alongside local management to assist with the coordination and delivery of high quality outcome-focussed, person centred support to individuals we support. You will be positive about supporting people to increase their independence and ensure that they are at the centre of all decisions made about their lives. Your role will include: • You will assist senior staff in the planning and service delivery • You will provide person centered care and support to people with mental health needs and enable them to gain independence, and to live a fulfilling and meaningful life • You will support and supervise staff and deploy staff resources effectively to meet the needs of the service including but not limited to rota management, staff induction, ongoing supervision/appraisal and all general line manager roles and responsibilities • Adhere to all of Creative Supports Policies and Procedures and ensure that your staff team also fully comply • Be highly knowledgeable in Safeguarding and ensure all individuals we support are effectively Safeguarded from potential harm/abuse at all times • Complete all aspects as support working duties including ensuring support plans are person centered and followed at all times, risk assessments are detailed with appropriate risk management plans which are adhered to at all times with all documentation being kept up-to-date • Develop warm and trusting relationships with service users and encourage them to express their needs, wishes, views and concerns • Adhere to Creative Supports Quality Monitoring Frameworks and complete audits in line with company policy • This list is not exhaustive and is provided as an overview only A full, clean UK driving license is not essential but is preferred. Your full-time hours will be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service including daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. At least two years’ experience in providing care and support to people with a range of mental health support needs is essential for this role. As Senior Support Worker, compassion, motivation, diligence and an ability to empathise with individuals is also essential. You must be warm, well organised, and conscientious and demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. You will be required to work on a rota, undertaking early, late and weekend duties as required.
