Here we provide quality person-centred care and support to thirteen individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and additional mental health support needs to live exciting and independent lives. No two days will be the same at this service as we support service users in a supported living environment to follow their passions and engage in a range of activities including cooking/baking, walking, attending community activities including drama, karate and discos and many more! Senior Support Worker duties include: - Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staff - Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users - Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities, both within and outside of their homes - Providing personal care, administering medication and lone working - You will be required to support with overseeing staff deployment and rotas and to work in a flexible manner yourself including working some evenings and weekends. - Working closely with local multi-disciplinary teams and community-based agencies to provide holistic, wrap-around support - Facilitate service user engagement, involvement and peer support - Ensure that there are robust methods of quality monitoring You will provide excellent customer care and proactively communicate with stakeholders in respect to risk management and the care and welfare of the people we support. You will have a strong ethical duty of care and a commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals. As this is a senior role, experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs is required. You will ideally have some experience of supervision/managing staff and resources and hold or be willing to work towards relevant health and social care qualifications (Degree or NVQ Level 3/4/5).
