Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Senior Therapy Support Worker to join our integrated Care of the Elderly Therapy Team. The post holder will work alongside the rest of the Therapy team, to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions. The post holder will demonstrate autonomy in caseload management, delegation and deliver assessments and treatment plans. They will take an active role in planning and delivering training, supervisions and complete any necessary departmental admin tasks.Applicants should have excellent communication skills, be positive, compassionate, flexible and work well as part of a team.Core working hours are Monday - Friday, but you will be expected to work any shifts in operation, which may include weekends and public holidays.
Main duties of the job
In line with the Trust Vision to provide the "Best Care for Everyone..."- To use the principles of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in an integrated and client-centred way, to promote independence and facilitate safe discharge. This will be achieved by implementing delegated treatment plans and facilitating rehabilitation within agreed limitations through exercise, physical modalities and the use of occupation. To assess and manage delegated patients with mobility and occupational difficulties, reporting back to the registered practitioner as necessary.- To support the teams with administration, clerical and housekeeping duties.
