You will be joining an established therapy team with excellent peer support. We are looking for sound communication and organisational skills, an ability to work within a team and to use your initiative. Experience of working with patients who have suffered fractures and/or undergone orthopaedic surgery, and knowledge of Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy would be an advantage. On taking up the post, you would be guided through core and specific competencies appropriate to the role. At the heart of everything we do are our core values: Include, Respect, and Improve. The successful candidate will work with the Orthopaedic team within the acute setting at Lister Hospital. To undertake assessments and interventions with individual patients within remit of defined caseload To act as first contact in certain situations, as agreed, following competency training and agreement with qualified therapist. To carry own caseload of routine patients and prioritise this caseload and organise the day accordingly. To contribute to the on-going discharge planning process for patients within caseload in conjunction with other members of the multidisciplinary team, to adjust as necessary in line with service needs. To communicate progress/outcome of treatment with the patient, clinical supervisor, relatives, carers, and the multidisciplinary team At East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust, we are proud of the range of general and specialist services we provide and our 6,000 or so dedicated staff ensure our patients get the best care.
