The
post holder will be expected to develop, manage and lead the efficient and
effective delivery of the Be U Norfolks assessment service for adults on the
assessment pathway for an autism assessment and/or support through the
community navigation service.





We are looking for an experienced and proactive leader to ensure the highest quality support for adults accessing the Be U Norfolk assessment and navigation service. You will supervise and manage the team, conducting monthly 1:1 meetings and annual performance reviews, providing guidance, coaching, and recruitment support. Overseeing day-to-day operations, you will be responsible for allocating assessments, scheduling meetings, and ensuring service consistency. A key part of this role involves reviewing, monitoring, and prioritizing referrals, as well as contributing to the design and implementation of post-intervention monitoring and support.




You will play a pivotal role in ensuring regular service reviews for each adult, working in partnership with families, carers, and professionals to provide holistic support. Collaborating with stakeholders in education and employment, you will offer direct guidance, training, and workshops. A key aspect of the role includes gathering insights from the service to enhance delivery and inform best practices. Ensuring compliance with ABL policies and procedures, you will oversee quality assurance, safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records, proactively address service challenges, and provide monthly performance reports to senior leadership. This role requires adaptability, problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support to those accessing the service.

Job responsibilities


The

Key Responsibilities

Ensure
the highest quality and standards of support are provided to adults, their
families, and a range of other professionals, enabling the adult to access the
Be U Norfolk assessment and navigation service.


Supervise and manage the Be U Norfolk team via
monthly 1:1 and annual performance reviews.


Provide guidance and direct coaching.


Have a key role in the recruitment of staff to
the service


Overseeing the day-to-day management of the
team, including allocating assessments, meetings, etc on a daily basis,
ensuring consistency (schedules, annual leave, etc).


Take an active role in the reviewing,
monitoring and prioritisation of referrals alongside other team members.


Have an input in the design implementation of
the post-intervention monitoring and support elements of the service for each
individual client.


Present fair, balanced feedback/support to
staff and clients. Recognise and challenge areas of poor practice and
institutionalised culture.


Ensure that all service delivery is reviewed
for each adult on a frequent basis.


Ensure that the service works in partnership
with the adult and all of those who are important to them, including their
family and friends, carers, and other professionals and actively include these
people in conducting reviews.


Work closely with other stakeholders such as education/employment
including delivering direct support and guidance to staff, via direct work with
clients and workshops.


Disseminate learning from the service to enable
other stakeholders to benefit from the service, through building case studies
and utilising feedback.


Ensure that all ABL policies and procedures are
understood and implemented by staff, to include quality assurance, regulatory,
risk frameworks, safeguarding, criminal records, data protection, HR and health
and safety.


Ensure all relevant records in relation to the adults
accessing the service and employees are appropriately maintained and up to date
and compiled and delivered as required for/to relevant authorities.


Identify potential problems, acting proactively
to avoid service breakdowns, deal with complaints and to mitigate all types of
risk through liaising with clients and other professionals.


Monthly performance monitoring feedback to the
Head of Service and the Divisional and Professional Leads for ABLs Mental
Health division (Performance Review Boards).


Work flexibly and adapt to suit the service
need.
