As a Specialist Doctor in Healthcare of Older People at Heartlands Hospital (B9 5SS) you will join a well-established team of nine HCOP consultants delivering care for frail older adults across Acute Geriatrics wards, OPAD, FSDEC and Orthogeriatrics. The post carries a standard 10 PA job plan (including 1.5 SPA) with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests, supervise trainee doctors, ACPs and clinical practitioners, and contribute to teaching. Clinical duties include ward rounds, assessments, FSDEC evening cover and participation in a HCOP weekend on-call rota (1-in-8); applicants should hold an MBBS (or equivalent), have at least 12 years since primary qualification with six years’ HCOP experience at SAS level, hold UK professional registration and be prepared to maintain CPD and mandatory training. A Disclosure and Barring Service check applies.
