Job description
Specialist Healthcare Assistant at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, based at HMP The Verne, Portland (DT5). This part‑time, permanent Band 4 role (Agenda for Change) offers £27,485–£30,162 pa pro rata and NHS employment benefits including pension, structured development and training. You will work in an integrated primary care team delivering mental and physical health, pharmacy and clinical substance misuse services, supporting registered nurses to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient‑centred care, run clinics, support national screening and lead offender‑focused health promotion programmes. The post suits compassionate carers who want practical, hands‑on work that makes a real difference to people’s lives while building clinical and interpersonal skills in a forward‑thinking NHS service.
