This Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist role with York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a part‑time post based in Selby, working with the Selby Community Response Team to provide home‑based physiotherapy, rapid urgent care response and short‑term reablement programmes across Selby and the surrounding villages. You will lead specialist assessments, set focused short‑term goals and deliver evidence‑based interventions to support safe discharges and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. The role is clinical and autonomous: you’ll provide specialist advice, teach and mentor junior staff and students, initiate audits and service improvement projects, and use health‑coaching skills to engage patients and families. Practical requirements include the ability to travel across the locality during the working day and access to a vehicle with a full driving licence.

The team is multidisciplinary, friendly and supportive, with values that emphasise kindness, openness and excellence — and the Trust actively supports flexible working, carers and staff networks. Benefits include membership of the NHS Pension Scheme, 27–33 days’ holiday (depending on service), a generous learning and development offer and staff support schemes such as Employee Assistance, cycle‑to‑work and car lease options; relocation support is available for eligible posts.
