Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Therapy technician to join the acute inpatient neurosciences therapy service at St George's Hospital, Tooting.St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country's leading teaching hospitals with an international reputation for patient care, education and research.As one of only four Major Trauma Centre's in London, St. George's leads the South West London and Surrey Trauma network. St George's is also recognized as a leading provider of stroke services which includes a regional Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, Stroke Unit and TIA service.Applicants need to be flexible, reliable, demonstrate confidence in dealing with the public and possess excellent communication skills. They will need to be able to complete tasks delegated to them as well as have the ability to use their initiative.Good team-work skills are essential as well as basic IT skills. Experience
within the NHS and knowledge of the role of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. The posts will involve working alongside qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to provide direct patient intervention (both one to one and group sessions), assisting with administrative tasks, maintenance of equipment loans systems, information gathering and promotion of best quality patient care.We offer support, supervision, in house training and the opportunity to work in a dedicated and highly skilled therapy and multi-disciplinary team.
