County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust in Darlington, County Durham, is seeking dynamic individuals to join their supportive team as a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics from August 2025. This full-time role requires anaesthesia training equivalent to CT3 or above, with full GMC registration and a license to practice. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated group of 28 consultants, specialty doctors, and trainees from the Northern School of Anaesthesia. You'll be engaging in critical care, theatre duties, and potentially obstetric cover, depending on your expertise. Expect a diverse schedule with 12 sessions per 8 weeks, covering theatre, obstetric, and ITU sessions, alongside a 1:8 resident on-call rota. The role is pivotal to patient care, requiring the management of elective surgeries, emergency situations, and contributing to ongoing department operations.
