Job description
Speech and Language Therapy Assistant – Harrogate (HG2). Work from Harrogate District Hospital and across the community (clinics, domiciliary visits and care homes) supporting adults with communication, cognitive and swallowing difficulties. You will independently carry and prioritise a caseload following treatment plans set by speech and language therapists, provide clear feedback to the SLT team, assist in videofluoroscopy clinics and FEES (including scope cleaning), and help with clinical administration and stock management. The role suits an organised, flexible and compassionate carer who enjoys varied days, using initiative to help people regain confidence in their communication and eating safely.
This permanent, part-time post is Band 4 (salary £27,485–£30,162 pa pro rata) with flexible working and regular, tailored supervision and CPD. Essential criteria include 3 GCSEs (including English), an IT qualification and an NVQ care qualification or equivalent; experience of team working and following care plans is needed, and a DBS check will be required.
