Job description
Work with a specialist Physical Health Team within Adult Community Mental Health Services at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Dudley (Bushey Fields Hospital, DY1). As a Band 3 STR Worker you’ll deliver outpatient cardio‑metabolic checks and occasional home visits — monitoring blood pressure, weight/height/BMI, performing ECGs and taking bloods (full training provided) — and provide clinical support in the one‑stop Clozapine Clinic. This permanent, full‑time role (Agenda for Change Band 3; £24,937–£26,598 pa) includes structured supervision from senior clinicians and the chance to be part of a dedicated team focused on improving physical health outcomes for adults with severe and enduring mental illness.
This role is ideal for practical, caring people — particularly women carers seeking hands‑on clinical work — who hold NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) with GCSE‑level education and have experience delivering care or support. You’ll need good communication and IT skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, and a compassionate, flexible approach; commitment to work towards NVQ 3 is desirable. A DBS check is required and skilled worker sponsorship applications will be considered.
