HMP Hatfield is a Category D (open) prison, and The Lakes prepares inmates for Category D status.Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care.Hours:This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8:00 am - 4:00pm.

Main duties of the job
As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:Work independently across the 2 sites, predominantly at Hatfield LakesCarry out risk assessments, working closely with prison staff and security to ensure that those with substance issues are assessed carefully prior to external group sessions, home visits etcManage a caseload of patients (around 40) with substance misuse needsDeliver group sessions to patients, usually around 8-10 per groupOffer advice on harm reduction, relapse prevention, SMART training and host / assist with recovery eventsPrepare patients for releaseIf you are interested incareer development,we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and
