Job description
Support Secretary in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Medway NHS Foundation Trust, Gillingham (ME7). Band 3, permanent part-time role (salary £24,937–£26,598 p.a.). You will provide timely, accurate medical/audio-typing for clinic letters, ensure enclosures are included, send and distribute correspondence, book trauma discharge and fracture clinic appointments, and keep patient records up to date on PAS (OASIS). The post includes checking clinic coding and outcomes, processing amendments, liaising with GPs, consultants, patients and other hospital teams, and occasional cover in the Virtual Fracture Clinic — training will be given. Confidentiality and attention to medical terminology are essential; a GCSE in English (or equivalent) and proven audio-typing experience in a healthcare setting are required. A DBS check is needed and skilled worker sponsorship applications will be considered.
