Oakleigh Lodge is a residential care home in Dudley providing support and care for adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, complex needs and autism. What you’ll be doing: All aspects of personal care, feeding, cooking, some cleaning, and key working. You will be required to operate hoists and will have previous experience of doing this. Supporting with activities and interests both within the service and out in the community. Settling residents and being that friendly face should they wake up through the night. Epilepsy training will be given; however, previous experience is required. Providing person-centered care. Who you are: You will have a minimum of 1 year of experience working within the social care sector. Experience of working with learning disabilities, autism, or epilepsy is essential. You have the ability and passion to support the individual needs of our residents, providing high quality person centered care. An NVQ level 2 or above in health and social care would be preferable but not essential; if you don’t have this, then you will have a willingness to achieve.
