Location: Cleeve Court, Bath and North East Somerset Council Employment Type: Temporary (Agency Worker) Start Date: 31 October 2025 End Date: 6 December 2025 Hours:(08:00–20:00 shifts) Rate: PAYE: £12.85/hour Umbrella/Ltd: £16.61/hour About the Role Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to provide high-quality care at Cleeve Court during a period of annual leave cover. This is a hands-on role supporting adults with varying needs, including those living with dementia, within a residential care setting. You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering personal care, emotional support, and practical assistance to help residents live with dignity and independence. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care and support in line with individual care plans Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, dressing, meals, and mobility Monitor wellbeing and report concerns to senior staff Support residents with social interaction and community engagement Maintain accurate records and contribute to care reviews Operate specialist equipment safely (training provided) Promote a safe, clean, and respectful living environment Respond to emergencies and provide cover for colleagues when needed What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Attributes: Ability to treat service users with dignity, empathy, and respect Physically able to assist with personal care and manual handling Effective literacy skills to understand care plans and risk assessments Basic knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices Team player with a proactive and flexible approach Willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) Experience in a care setting, especially with dementia Familiarity with specialist equipment and manual handling techniques This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults while gaining valuable experience in a supportive care environment.
