Around 80% of those we support are also on the autistic spectrum. We have 17 small, supported Living services across East and West Sussex. Role & Responsibilities We are currently looking for positive, compassionate, and caring Support Workers to join our supported living service in the Patcham area of Brighton. We support adults who have a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities and autism. Our services are very active with routine and scheduled activities in the service and in the community. We support with all aspects of daily living supporting them to develop their skills and encouraging their independence. Duties may include but are not limited to: Assist the people we support in all areas of their lives and help them to achieve their goals. Participate in providing daily activities for the people we support. Undertake tasks of a domestic nature, e.g. shopping, cooking, laundry, house cleaning with individuals Develop and maintain professional relationships with people we support’s relatives, outside agencies and other professionals. Support individuals in their personal care when appropriate. Supporting and caring for those who can at times, displays behaviours that others may find challenging. To develop a full knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures pertaining to the people we support. Including reports, support plans and daily recordings. To undertake the role of keyworker for an individual. Current positions we are recruiting to: Support workers - The successful candidate will hold a valid Full UK license and be willing to drive for the service to assist our service users who are unable to use public transport in accessing community based activities.
