This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s daily life by providing essential personal and practical care. - Responsibilities include: - Providing personal care with dignity and sensitivity - Safe manual handling and use of ceiling hoist - Meal preparation and support with feeding if required - Assisting with medication (prompting or administering, as appropriate) - Light domestic duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment - Offering companionship and respectful support throughout the day Working hours: - Monday PM 6-8 - Friday AM 6.30-9 and PM 6-8 - Every other weekend - Flexibility to help cover staff holidays is essential - Please note PM calls may vary in start time. Essential requirements: - Experience in care or a genuine passion for supporting others - Comfortable with manual handling and using equipment such as a ceiling hoist. This is a self employed position, applicant must have DBS, own insurance and will be required to provide PPE Duties include: - Personal grooming - Housekeeping Candidate qualities: - Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality - Reliable with good timekeeping - Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative - Hygienic, tidy and well organised - Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties - Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills - Honest and cheerful - Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard - Able to always work to high standards of health & safety Notes: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
