Our Care in the Home business is growing in Coventry in the West Midlands! We have exciting plans for our Care in the Home business in Coventry and we would like to hear from experienced, highly motivated, and proactive Support Workers. This is a zero contract with regular shifts once assigned to a client to enable continuity of care. You will attend our sector leading 2 week induction which will include staying away from home for 5 days, we will cover the cost of travel and accommodation. During this time you will have both face to face training with our clinicians and complete online courses to ensure you fully understand your role and are confident with ongoing support afterwards. Our Clients: Our care in the home services we support children, young people and adults with a wide range of conditions, including: brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions and neurodegenerative diseases, respiratory conditions and gastro-intestinal conditions, including percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) feeding. We don't just look after the clinical needs of the people we support. We look after the whole person, we pride ourselves on the fact our care extends beyond the individual to their wider family and friends, as we understand the wider impact complex conditions can have. Meet the client I'm an outgoing, sociable guy who's all about making the most of life and keeping things as normal and independent as possible. I'm looking for a support worker who's not just capable, but genuinely enthusiastic about being part of that journey. Facial hair is part of my identity, so I'd love someone who's confident managing a beardor at least open to learning. Don't worry, I'll guide you through it! Rehab-Focused I attend regular physiotherapy and am committed to my rehabilitation. I'd really value someone who shares that interest and can actively support me with exercises and routines. Great Communicator Clear, respectful, and friendly communication is a must. Whether it's coordinating appointments, chatting about the day, or just sharing a laugh, being able to connect is key. If you're proactive, personable, and ready to support someone who's determined to live life on his own terms, I'd love to hear from you. What you will be working: 2-4 shifts per week across Monday - Sunday 8am -8pm 8am until 12 noon, double up 8pm -8am wake night What you will be doing: Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters as much as possible Liaise with and support the family as required Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained (including washing, dressing and toileting) Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events Follow the service user plan as documented for the client Maintain accurate and confidential records Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client What you will have: A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible Previous experience of working with individuals with a spinal injury is desirable but not essential as full training will be given Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and develop Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS What to look forward to: From £12.25 to 13.50 per hour (depending on experience) Full specialist training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support from the Care Manager provided Accrued holiday pay Regular consistent work with rolling rotas Flexible zero hours contract Join the Active Learning Hub and benefit from a wide range of e learning and face to face training and development opportunities A Nest Personal Pension account We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1,500 by recommending someone you know and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care Group Active Care Group are an equal opportunities employer however for genuine occupational requirements we require female support workers for this client.
