Job description
Make a lasting difference as a Support Worker at Cygnet Hospital Derby (DE24) — a permanent, full-time role offering 38.5 hours per week across rotating day and night shifts (day 7.30am–8pm, night 7.30pm–8am; two weeks day, two weeks night; rota alternates between 33 and 44 hour weeks). You will provide hands-on, compassionate care within low-secure and mental health rehabilitation services, including support for male pathways and a leading female personality disorder unit. The role suits caring, confident people — particularly women carers who value meaningful, person-centred work — and involves emotional and physical support, assistance with medical and welfare needs, safeguarding and maintaining a safe, clean environment while promoting independence for service users. Starting pay is £13.21 per hour, rising to £13.33 after probation, and successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check.
