Support Worker - Female (Dimensions) — Newcastle NE3. £13.78 per hour, full- or part-time with day and waking night shifts. You’ll support four people living in their own supported-living bungalows in Kenton — three men and one woman — all of whom have learning disabilities and autism. The role is hands-on and varied: helping people to live independently, join in hobbies and social life (from shopping and family time to music, games, bike rides and theatre/TV interests), providing personal care to differing levels of independence, administering medication, doing food shopping and household tasks, and offering emotional reassurance during behaviours of distress. Full positive behaviour support training is provided, but previous experience supporting people with complex needs is essential. Shifts typically run 08:00–22:00 for day work and 22:00–08:00 for waking nights; rotas include weekdays and weekends and are published at least four weeks in advance to help protect your work–life balance.
