Job description
Support Worker - Female at Cygnet Alders Clinic, GL1: work as part of a skilled team delivering specialist, psychologically informed care to women with personality disorders and complex needs. You will work 42 hours a week across days and nights in a 20‑bed rehabilitation service that supports progress through three living areas — Severn (assessment and stabilisation), Avon (treatment and engagement) and Coln (community transition). Day‑to‑day you’ll offer hands‑on physical and emotional support, assist with medical and welfare needs, safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment, and help service users build independence through person‑centred care. This role is based in a women‑only service and is particularly suited to female carers who bring sensitivity, resilience and strong communication skills. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required.
This permanent, full‑time post pays £29,243 a year and offers clear routes for career progression — including apprenticeship opportunities, expert supervision and ongoing training — so you can grow professionally while making tangible differences every day.
