CareTech is recruiting a female Support Worker for its Dukinfield service (Manchester, M2 6AQ) on a permanent, full‑time contract of 37.5 hours per week. The role involves delivering person‑centred support to adults with mental health needs — helping people to live as independently as possible, taking part in community and social activities and recording outcomes using our outcome‑measuring tools. You’ll work across days, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, so resilience, calmness under pressure, good written and verbal communication and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a close team are essential. Previous caring experience is desirable but not required; the service values friendly, empowering and innovative practice and is especially welcoming to women carers who want a supportive, purpose‑led workplace. Please note CareTech cannot consider skilled or student visa applicants for this vacancy.
Pay is £12.36 per hour with a range of industry standard benefits and clear routes for career progression. You’ll receive a free enhanced DBS check paid for by the employer, access to dedicated learning and development programmes, an Employee Assistance Programme, Blue Light Card, a £500 ‘Recommend a Friend’ bonus (terms apply), annual awards and the chance to apply for CareTech Foundation grants. The job reference is 21713 and the closing date for applications is 04 December 2025; an enhanced DBS disclosure will be required before starting. To apply, please click the “Apply Now” button alongside this advert — applications are handled through jobsincare.com.
