Based in Croydon and covering Lewisham, Lambeth and Southwark, AWD online is recruiting a full‑time, permanent Support Worker / Outreach Worker paying £13.00–£14.50 per hour. The role combines accommodation‑based and floating outreach support for people with complex needs, including homelessness, mental health and substance misuse. You will provide one‑to‑one practical and emotional support, co‑produce person‑centred and risk management plans, carry out wellbeing and safety checks, safeguard vulnerable people and liaise with housing, health and probation partners to help clients sustain tenancies and develop everyday living skills. This is an on‑site role and an enhanced DBS check is required.

This opportunity is ideal for compassionate, practical carers — especially women with frontline experience such as Floating Support, Complex Needs, Mental Health Recovery or Homelessness roles — who value meaningful, hands‑on work and strong team collaboration. Essential skills include experience with complex needs, good communication and report‑writing, flexibility and basic IT competence for maintaining accurate case notes; qualifications such as Health & Social Care Level 2, knowledge of welfare and Care Act/Mental Health legislation, and meal‑preparation support are desirable.
