What You’ll Do
About
This role is more than just care—it’s about empowering people to live fulfilling lives while upholding the Christian ethos at the heart of CrossReach. You will:
✔ Provide personalised care and support that promotes dignity and independence
✔ Assist with daily life tasks such as personal care, cooking, and managing finances
✔ Support individuals to participate in work, education, and community activities
✔ Uphold Christian values by providing emotional and spiritual support, as appropriate
✔ Help service users access financial advice and manage benefits
✔ Work independently, using your initiative to assess and respond to situations
✔ Ensure a safe and welcoming home environment
What You Need
✨ A caring and patient nature – experience is great, but a heart for service is even more important
✨ SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (or a willingness to work towards it)
✨ Basic computer skills (for record-keeping and online training)
✨ The ability to work independently and make sound decisions
✨ Flexibility – our services operate 24/7, so shifts may include evenings, weekends, and sleepovers

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.

This permission is without exception granted by UK Visas and Immigrations.
