This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by offering consistent support at home, during school transport, and in the community. Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, person-centred support at home and in the community Escort to and from school via taxi Support the development and maintenance of independent living skills Assist with managing clinical anxiety and sensory processing needs Accompany to weekly swimming sessions (must be a confident swimmer) Encourage participation in social and recreational activities Complete daily activity records and support planning About the Individual: The person you’ll be supporting is a bright and engaging young adult who: Has a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD Experiences audio sensory delay (3–4 seconds to process spoken language) Is learning to self-manage clinical anxiety Requires physiotherapy and benefits from weekly swimming Lives with Trichotillomania and mild scoliosis Has a strong dislike of injections and blood tests Ideal Candidate: Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting adults with Autism and ADHD PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) trained or willing to undertake training Confident swimmer – able to provide support in the water Skilled in supporting individuals with sensory processing difficulties Able to work independently and collaboratively within a wider care team Patient, respectful, and emotionally attuned to individual needs
