We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers to join our friendly team at our Kingly Terrace service in Rushden. Our wonderful team understand that a holistic approach is necessary to ensure that those in our care are safe, happy, and healthy. Kingly Terrace is a detached property providing support for eight adults with acquired brain injuries or neurological conditions. The house includes 12 large single bedrooms, a communal lounge and dining area, kitchen and separate laundry room. There is an additional Spa bathroom with a modified bath and ceiling track hoist. The ground floor is large enough to accommodate wheelchair users and there is a lift to access upper floors. Located within a thriving local community, people are supported to access the wider opportunities both in and around their home. There is a separate therapy space within the service where residents have the opportunity to work with our sister company Neural Pathways on their tailored therapy programme , which includes Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and there is also access SALT when required to improve quality of life. We have an easily accessible garden which allows our residents to enjoy the outdoors in a safe, secure environment. What you'll be working: Full time 42 hours Nights Follow a rota basis £26,994.25 per annum. What you'll be doing: Build relationships with Residents which are open and two way Support Residents to undertake their rehabilitation programme, working in collaboration with Multi Disciplinary Therapists Establish methods of communication with residents, reducing barriers through innovative and adaptable practice Assist Residents to meet their Hydration and Nutritional needs and maintain physical health Support with Activities of Daily Living and personal care when needed, respecting choice and dignity Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, families and other professionals Accurately report and record care provided What you'll have: A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible The ability to communicate effectively at all levels Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
