Job description
As a Support Worker with Cygnet Health Care at Ranaich House in Dunblane (FK15), you’ll deliver person‑centred care to adults (18+) with learning disabilities, mental health and physical needs in a 14‑bed residential service. This full‑time role is 42 hours per week, covering rotating day (07:45–20:00) and night (19:45–08:00) shifts with two weekends a month. You will support residents with daily tasks, promote independence, accompany people into the local community, monitor health and wellbeing, keep accurate records and report concerns to senior staff — all within an NHS partnership setting where clear handovers and teamwork are essential. The post is subject to a Disclosure/PVG check.
This opportunity suits compassionate, practical carers — whether you’ve worked as a care assistant, healthcare assistant or support worker before, or are returning to the sector — who value structured shifts, training and career progression. Cygnet offers a salary of £26,540.80 per year (full‑time) with hourly progression from £12.76/hr on probation to £13.01/hr post‑probation and £13.23/hr after 18 months, plus monthly travel allowance, free meals on shift, onsite parking, free PVG, fully paid training and induction, support to achieve SVQ levels 2 and 3, 28 days’ annual leave, a contributory pension and staff discounts. Cygnet is known for investing in people and outcomes, and jobsincare.com lists this role alongside other local care vacancies.
