Lead a small, dedicated team delivering person-centred supported living in Barnsley (S70), earning £30,576 per year on a permanent, full‑time contract (35 hours/week). This Team Leader / Senior Support Worker role with Search Consultancy LTD supports adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex behaviours in a 24/7 supported living environment. You’ll oversee day‑to‑day operations, supervise and mentor staff, and ensure each resident receives tailored care that promotes independence, dignity and choice. The service offers self‑contained apartments with shared communal, relaxation and creative activity spaces; the rota is a short week (2 days) followed by a long week (5 days). This is a non‑agency role focused on high standards of wellbeing and stability for the people you support.

This post is designed for experienced carers ready to step into a supervisory role — you’ll ideally have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism and some prior senior or leadership responsibility, plus strong communication, organisational and mentoring skills (NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards it is desirable).
