Team Leader Job details Posting date: 04 November 2025 Salary: £30,576.00 per year Hours: Full time Closing date: 04 December 2025 Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70 1AA Company: Search Consultancy LTD Job type: Permanent Job reference: Req/675222_1762270996 Apply for this job Summary Team Leader / Senior Support Worker - Supported Living Service Salary: £30,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week Service Type: 24/7 Supported Living (Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, Complex Needs) The pattern is a short week ( x2 days) followed by a long week ( 5 days) Not Agency About the Role We're recruiting for a Team Leader / Senior Support Worker to join an established supported living service providing high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, mental health needs, and complex behaviours. This role involves leading a small team to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and support across all aspects of daily living. You'll help individuals develop independence, stability, and confidence within a safe and structured environment. You'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting and supervising staff, and ensuring each individual receives tailored, person-centred support that promotes dignity, choice, and wellbeing. About the Service The service provides a highly supportive, structured environment for individuals requiring 24-hour care. Each person has their own self-contained apartment designed to promote privacy and independence, with access to shared communal spaces for social and recreational activities. There are also dedicated relaxation areas, creative activity spaces, and communal leisure facilities to encourage engagement, development, and positive wellbeing. The service places a strong emphasis on: * Person-centred practice * Empowerment and independence * Dignity, respect, and high-quality care * Professional growth and staff development What We're Looking For * Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism * Experience in a senior or leadership capacity within a care or supported living environment * Strong communication, organisational, and mentoring skills * A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and supporting people to achieve their goals * Ideally holds (or is working toward) NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent Why Apply?
