Job description
Lead a committed team delivering person‑centred support in Blackburn and Burnley as a Team Leader for Alternative Futures Group. This permanent, on‑site role is 35 hours per week with a salary of £32,195 per year and requires a driving licence due to travel between services. You will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for supervising Support Workers, recruitment, resource management and quality assurance, using person‑centred planning and review to shape meaningful outcomes for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The post demands significant experience of people management, staff supervision and partnership working, confident use of ICT for performance and reporting, and either an NVQ3 in care/management (or a willingness to achieve this) — with flexibility to work unsocial hours, weekends and be on‑call when required. Alternative Futures Group is a Disability Confident employer and offers flexible patterns such as a 9‑day fortnight or a 4.5‑day week to help balance life and work.
This role is ideal for experienced carers — particularly women seeking a leadership step where compassion, coaching and practical organisation matter as much as hands‑on care. You’ll lead team development, embed best practice and nurture community connections while shaping services that put people and families at the heart of planning. If you have strong communication skills, can inspire a team and are committed to delivering high quality, person‑centred support, click the “Apply Now” button alongside this advert to proceed via jobsincare.com. Closing date: 20 November 2025.
