The Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Technical Programme Manager for the Cambridge Genomics Laboratory, which is part of the East NHS Genomic Laboratory Hub. The role involves leading and managing the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) section, requiring extensive hands-on experience in genomic sequencing, library preparation, quality control, and familiarity with automation equipment.

Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the operational aspects of the genomic technical laboratory to ensure service quality and efficiency.
- Managing a team of Senior Genetic Technologists and maintaining expertise in Genomic Testing to enhance sequencing workflows.
- Reporting to the Head of Technical Programme and collaborating with other technical staff.
- Ensuring UKAS accreditation and contributing to staff organisation and well-being.

Candidates must be HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientists or Genetic Technologists, with experience in diagnostic genomics relating to rare diseases and cancer. The role requires some flexibility in working hours, potentially covering shifts from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekends.
