As a Theatre Practitioner – General Surgery with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust you will be based at York Hospital (YO31 8HE) working across 11 specialist theatres and six day‑unit theatres. This permanent, full‑time Band 5 role (salary £31,049–£37,796) is for registered Theatre Practitioners, Theatre Nurses or ODPs with a current NMC or HCPC pin and at least two years’ theatre experience. You will assess and prioritise patients for surgical and anaesthetic procedures, prepare theatres and equipment, support patients and families, work to professional codes and help supervise and teach junior staff across specialties including ENT, maxillofacial, gynaecology, urology, vascular, upper GI, colorectal, breast, plastics and trauma.
