- To lead and work within the Plastic Surgery Theatre teams, providing high quality care for the patients and acting as a resource for that speciality
- To plan and manage the implementation of individual care programmes for patients in the perioperative period as part of the Theatre team.
- To guide, instruct and monitor junior staff, students and support staff.
- To practice in accordance with Professional Codes and statutory requirements
- The post holder will be expected to meet objectives set out during Personal Development Reviews.
- To work flexibly within any area of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as directed by the Senior Nurse/Matron to provide support according to service needs
- To work as part of a 24 hour unit, participating in on calls, weekend working and night duty

We require a professional, flexible, motivated and committed person who is capable of leading a team and delivering high quality, patient-focussed care within a busy, progressive and varied department. The post holder will be based within the Plastics and Breast Reconstructive Surgery Specialities and alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the Theatres. You will also be expected to participate in the day to day running of the Theatre Department both in and out of hours.
The General Theatre Department undertakes a wide range of specialities in both the elective and emergency settings including Orthopaedic Trauma, ENT, Max Fax, Plastics, Vascular, General Surgery including upper GI/Colo-rectal and Urology. We also do Robotic Urological Colorectal ENT and Gynecology procedures. Within this Department you will be required participate in on calls and weekend working.

These include the national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the coastal towns and seaside resorts of two beautiful coastlines and many picturesque villages. Exeter itself has many modern amenities with very good road, rail and air transport links.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 4 day week including 3 day shifts 08:00 - 18:00 and 1 Late shift 11:30 - 21:00
