Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner — Pulmonary Rehab at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (L14). Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) role with a salary of £27,485–£30,162 (Agenda for Change Band 4). You will be based in the Breathe pulmonary rehabilitation programme, delivering assessment and treatment to patients both one-to-one and in groups across hospital and community settings — including community venues and patients’ own homes. The post requires use of your own car for community visits (business insurance needed) and mileage is paid. Usual hours are 08:00–16:00 with a Monday hospital class and an evening shift roughly once a month (10:30–18:30); you will also join a Saturday rehab rota (about one Saturday in 10 weeks) with a day off in lieu and Saturday enhancement. Competency-based training and regular supervision are provided to help you settle in.

This role suits experienced therapy assistants, HCAs or carers with NVQ Level IV (or Level III plus relevant courses) and experience in respiratory or community care, who are confident making clinical decisions at band 4 and comfortable using IT to support digital rehabilitation. Strong communication, teaching skills, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team are essential.
