Therapy Assistant Practitioner – Frailty/Rehab (Band 4, 22.5 hrs/week) based at Leighton Hospital, Crewe (CW1). This permanent, part‑time role (salary £27,485–£30,162 pro rata) typically works 08:00–16:00 on Mondays and Thursdays plus one flexible day, with job‑share and flexible working available. You will work alongside occupational therapists and physiotherapists on acute elderly care and frailty wards, carrying out agreed assessments and treatment plans, holding a delegated caseload, modifying interventions within scope, contributing to data and monthly reports and supporting a seven‑day service. The post requires a minimum of 12 months’ experience as a Band 3 therapy assistant and 12 months’ NHS acute ward experience; an interest in OT or physio is advantageous. A DBS check is required and, due to the hours and pay, Skilled Worker sponsorship is unlikely — applicants who need sponsorship should check the gov.uk criteria before applying.

This vacancy will suit experienced, compassionate carers—especially those balancing work with family or caring responsibilities—who want a meaningful clinical role in a supportive team. Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust values staff wellbeing and has a strong safety culture, offering opportunities to develop practical skills in frailty and rehabilitation.
