Job description
Support children with physical disabilities and complex needs as a Therapy Support Worker within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Children’s Therapy service in Sutton‑in‑Ashfield. You’ll work alongside occupational therapists and physiotherapists to deliver agreed programmes of assessment and intervention across community and hospital settings, carry out routine therapy tasks independently when appropriate, help with specialist equipment ordering and maintenance, and provide clear, compassionate communication with children, families, carers and educators. This hands‑on role suits someone who enjoys practical, child‑centred work, who can plan, prioritise and collaborate within a multi‑disciplinary team, and who brings patience, good interpersonal skills and a commitment to high standards of care.
Applicants should hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care and have experience with children who have complex health needs. The post is Band 3 (£24,937 to £26,598 pro rata), permanent with full‑time, part‑time and flexible options, and a full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required (reasonable adjustments made under the Equality Act 2010). A DBS check is mandatory and the fee will be deducted from salary (standard or enhanced checks and the DBS Update Service fee apply). The Trust offers strong staff networks, wellbeing and occupational health support, and development opportunities that particularly support women and carers.
