Job description
Therapy Support Worker at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust (Rotherham, S60) — a hands-on Band 3 role working within the inpatient Therapy Team to help adults recover and return home sooner. You’ll work alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, therapy assistant practitioners and other support workers, delivering early assessment, mobilisation, manual handling, therapeutic exercises and support with activities of daily living. This is a full-time, fixed‑term post (37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday 08:30–16:30) with occasional weekend cover as required. The varied caseload includes cardiology, respiratory, general surgery, medicine, frailty and other specialties (stroke and orthopaedics are not covered), and the role directly contributes to timely discharge planning and onward community referrals. Salary is Band 3 (£24,937–£26,598 pro rata) and the contract is for five months.
